We conducted a Menstrual Hygiene and Cancer awareness in Schools
We are delighted to announce that we recently conducted a menstrual hygiene and cancer awareness program at Vidya Vinayalaya School in Hyderabad, Telangana State. The program aimed to provide knowledge and education about menstrual hygiene and breast cancer prevention to girls students and their mothers. The event was conducted on 17/04/2023 and featured several medical professionals who provided informative sessions on menstrual hygiene, breast self-examination, and early detection of breast cancer.
The program emphasized the importance of menstrual hygiene and its impact on a girl’s overall health and well-being. The participants were also educated about breast cancer prevention, the importance of early detection, and the available screening methods. The medical professionals demonstrated how to perform a breast self-examination, and the participants were encouraged to practice it regularly.
We believe that educating girls and their mothers about menstrual hygiene and breast cancer prevention is crucial for promoting good health and well-being in our communities. The event was a success, and we are grateful to all the participants, volunteers, and partners who made it possible.
