Venkatrao Dawle Medical Foundation (VDMF) is a charitable trust established and registered in 1992 with the aim of providing quality healthcare services to underprivileged communities in under Services to under privileged communities in Maharashtra, Bordering Karnataka, Telangana, India.
The Foundation is authorized to receive donations and is exempted under Section 80G and 12A of the Income Tax Act.
Foundation is registered to receive CSR Funds by Government of India. Registered with NITI Ayog.

Dr. Venkatrao Dawle, despite his humble beginnings, pursued a career in the medical profession and completed his MBBS with distinction in 1948. He served as a medical officer in Taluka Ausa, Dist. Osmanabad, and went on to become a renowned doctor known for his dedicated service to the community. His commitment to community service led him to establish a civil dispensary with public contributions, which is still functioning. After obtaining his FRCS degree from Edinburgh and gaining experience in the UK, Dr. Venkatrao Dawle returned to India and chose to work in Ambejogai, despite its lack of infrastructure such as electricity, telephones, and direct transportation to district headquarters.in 1962
Dr. Venkatrao Dawle established a successful general hospital in Ambejogai in 1962, including a surgical center where he performed all types of surgeries, including heart surgery - a rarity outside of Bombay during that time.In 1972
Dr. Venkatrao Dawle's philosophy of providing medical relief to all at their doorsteps is still relevant today, and his efforts in establishing a medical college in Ambejogai continue to inspire doctors to work in rural areas and serve their communities. He was successful in establishing the first medical college in 1975 with the cooperation of society and the government. Till now, about 2000 MBBS and 2000 postgraduate qualified doctors have graduated from this institution and are serving society.In 1975
In an innovative approach, Dr. Venkatrao Dawle adopted a village around the medical college, where each batch of MBBS students was allotted five families from that village. These five families were assigned to each student in the batch. The entire health care needs of these families were managed by the students under the supervision of the highly qualified teaching staff of the medical college and hospital.September 17, 1948

The Hyderabad State Government established a 150-bedded T.B. Sanitarium and a 50-bedded general hospital in the disbanded army building in Mominabad (Ambejogai).In 1956
He established the Department of Anatomy in the newly established Government Medical College in Aurangabad, located in the Nizam Bungalow. He then proceeded to the UK to obtain his FRCS degree, which he completed in Edinburgh after gaining valuable experience in the UK.In 1964
Despite significant progress made in medical and other fields, the poor people of Marathwada continue to face challenges in accessing advanced medical treatment for conditions such as cancer and heart disease, which require specialized care and trained professionals.
